Here is part of the cast of the Nativity Play. This would be Lily who plays Mary and her brother Grant who plays one of the kings.
This is Luke who plays a sheep and memorized his lines perfectly---baa baa baa, which he repeated continually through the entire performance.
What's not to love. Here is my brother and his wife, Sharon, having a Christmas Eve laugh.
Camera is on the ready as the cast assembles at the manger.
Joseph requires some encouragement.
And here they all are with helping hands from the Dads.
Maggie narrates and directs. Her lifetime experience with the script makes her very effective in her role.
Hark... here come the Kings, one missionary, one perspective Dad and one very short royal majesty.
Grant took his roll welcoming the Savior of all mankind by inserting a pillow beneath his plastic self and ministering to him with the golden goblet to quench his thirst. This is the point at which all good grandmothers cry.
And here is the entire cast in a curtain call. Note that the manger is a table turned on it side and draped with the table cloth. It was ever thus.
This is an impressive cast! It's great to have pictures to show it all, but I do think Grant might have stolen the show!
