I had a talk with the new grandmother and she told me that Isabel, who loves to put her original mark on things, has decided that raccoons are to be the next big thing. Industry take note. So if I wanted to put an applique on the hand dyed onezie I had just purchased for the coming baby it should be a raccoon. Yeah! So I looked them up on the internet but they were short on pictures. Then Marie Fay suggested that I add cartoon to the request and sure enough there were a raft of them. I got an idea or two and drew my version. Here he is.
Then I found out that Isabel was to have a shower at her Aunt Maureen Fox's house. So now would be the time to make the quilt. I have a pattern called Baby George. I thought I would adopt that some how. Muff suggested I give the baby on the applique a racoon costume. Odd idea but other than that--perfect.
Love the raccoon! What a fun idea! Now look what you've started! Isabel is glowing - and growing!
