Collecting and entering great stuff in the journal that I am doing for Richard. This is the cover of some old sheet music which was too cool to pass up. I even remember the song. Richard is too young to remember it. The graphics are right up to date and I love the color, orange and green. You have to love the braking out on the edges, that hand and foot.
This second page was inspired by an old Valentine. Open the lid and there's a Jack in the Box. So I got to doodling clowns. I have three clown patterns for dolls, and I love the quirkie posibilities. On the page to the left there is a train postcard and a penny postcard with a filigree of stamping and drawing to bring it all together. My brother Ross once thought about going to clown school. He has the gift.
These are some of my tools. I carry them around in that red make up bag. It's hard to keep from making that bag too heavy. Inside are colored pencils, fine tipped markers and brush tipped markers, a water color set, and Portfolio Water Based Oil Pastels, plus rubber stamps and a pad.
The Cows are a tribute to the Cosmic Cow and the Udder Store. I have gotten very fond of cows.
Richard will love this journal! WOW! I love the clowns and the cows - especially Zinia the cow! With a brain that is in constant motion, it's a good thing you have so many outlets to let it flow! I'm glad you do this blog so we can all see these creations.

Love the cows. I have some cow fabric from the 80s if you would like some. It made cute T-shirts for the kiddos when they were young. Thanks for sharing Richards journal it makes life more enjoyable when I can laugh on a daily basis. Finally figured out how all this technology works together.
