Don't they look happy and isn't she lovely? This is my granddaughter and namesake, Elinor Peace Collett Coleman and her fiance, Jon. The pictures are framed in an old window that Evalyn resucued in New York when they were stationed there. This past Tuesday, a shower was held in the lovely home of one of Evalyn's friends in Silverdale, WA. Maureen and I drove up Tuesday afternoon to join in the festivities.
There were picture perfect treats. Chocolate in abundance as well as fresh fruits and veggies. A few story telling games which are the only ones I will play about first kisses and long lasting love. Lovely door prizes and the bride had fabulous gifts to open and admire. We all thought we should remarry so we could have a shower.
I must admit to be very proud to have Ellie open up her quilt.
As mt dear friend Sally has said for years, "do we look like ourselves?". Yes we do.
Here's the doting Aunt Maureen capturing the moments. Love is in the air and life is sweet.
What fun! The quilt looked great, the old window used as a pic frame is a cool idea, and the food looked dee-vine! :) Wedding day is close behind!
