There is a really cool store in Portland called SCRAP. A dear friend of our family, Sue Moore, recommended it to my sister, Muff, during one of their weekly domino games. Muff told me about it and suggested that I go with my daughter, Maureen, who loves adventures in Portland. So off we went. I have found recycle stores before but this place is organized and focused on crafting so I came away with a number of great ideas including some fabric for that white on white quilt. There were lots of "stuff " to add to my fabulous collections.
Papers, fabric, knick knacks, everything you can think of and some you can't to stimulate and encourage the idea factory. I also found an old bible with pictures, It had already been mined but there was still some goodies and it was only a quarter. Then there was this great overdyed paper in the little boutique I couldn't resist. When we hold our workshop on journaling in July(11-14), this will definately be a outing for our participants. It is a place where creativity runs rampent.
