Have been fiddling around with crows and their various reps and myths. Some say the crow is a visitor from the world of the dead. Some are taken by their proclivity for finding and stealing shinny things for their nest. I personally have seen a crow in flat out pursuit of a feral cat, nnipping at it's fur for nesting material. They are clever scavengers and very noisey. All in all great characters for fantasy and doll making. So here is "JO" made of Fast to Fuse and surface stitching. Ain't she grand.
Jo Crowford is very grand indeed. I think you should continue your pursuit of crows. Thank you for sharing your artwork. :o)

Recently read something about Woden (the Norse god) who had two ravens named Huginn and Muninn, which means "thought" and "memory." Just a bit more useless knowledge floating around in the ether. But it made me think how crows (ravens) collecting things and people keeping memorabilia are not all that different. A lot of what we do with art is a memorial to something. Your Jo Crowford has such a knowing look, or is she saying, "Hands off my stash!" She's just wonderful!

Hey Elinor! I don't know if I ever told you my hubby belongs to a golf group that call themselves the Crows League. They have really outdone you.... they have a crowcabulary. Oh yea! So I think your creation is simply crowlishious!
Miss you! Dee
