I was hoping all this foolishness that has been the buzz of many blogs, would be corrected before it really took affect....BUT, alas, those people that make laws without realizing the full implications to us small business owners...You know, those of us trying to accomplish the American Dream of working for ourselves..If you are one of those with the dream, You have most likely realized by now that working for Yourself really means longer hours, less pay and more stress (especially in this economy...) But, not punching someone elses clock has many more rewards than negatives...If you are not a small business owner but enjoyed buying handmade toys and clothing..YOU know those amazing little outfits Gracie wears, well the NEW LAW states that all fabric used to make anything for children under the age of 12 must be tested for hazardous materials....which makes it totally cost prohibitive for the small boutiquer to continue to produce clothing and toys....If you are interested in more details, check out jcaroline she does an excellent job in telling the facts and links....and of course with her superb sense of humor....or is that a bit of sarcasm, there???
