So, you probably have noticed I can not take a good photo....but I just stole these of Jenn's blog http://shabbymissjenn.typepad.com/
She is awesome with the camera!!
We had some left over scraps from our quilts...YES, we finally finished the top...you can see Jenns on her website, she has been introduced to the world of embellishing and we all need to watch out...who knows where her imagination will go!!
So in a moment of creativity, I whipped up this pincushion for her....Really it only took about 1/2 hour....SO, if your sewing room is lacking personality, go find a plastic margarine bowl or empty spam can and get our your glue gun...really NO sewing necessary. Fill the plastic container with a few rocks to give it some weight and fill with polyfil. Then cut a piece of fabric that will cover the container, glue to the inside edge of the container. Cut another piece of fabric or scrap to cover the polyfil, glue this to the inside where the other fabric is. Yes, it looks ugly.....BUT, now go to your stash and find some lace, baubles, trims etc... OR you can order some here. http://shop.epbdolls.net/product.sc?categoryId=22&productId=217
So, for all you SMJ readers, you know who you are....the digital wizards that you are....have no fear, YES, you can do this!! The lolipop pin was a wonderful find from gigiminor on etsy http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5595552
Now, if you haven't checked elinor's blog lately, go look, she did some amazing projects in Nebraska http://epbdolls.typepad.com/
I will post photos from our weekend in Markleeville soon, wow 3 days with no cell service and no internet access. Are there really whole towns that still live like that???? Hmmmmm, we hardly new what to do with ourselves!!
